Uplifted Health & Wellness was formed out of a passion for exercise and wellness along with the realization that my unique journey has equipped me to serve as a resource to help others on their own health journeys.
Uplifted Health & Wellness is about thoughtfully and honestly recognizing our own barriers to collaboratively create manageable, enjoyable strategies to move one step at a time towards improving your health and uplifting your wellbeing.
My approach is positive, encouraging, and motivational. I combine coaching with accountability and education to help to build consistency and confidence in my client’s workout habits and exercise routines. I believe movement and nutrition should not be one size fits all and generic, which is why my approach is completely individualized. I collaborate with each client to creatively design exercise and nutrition programs that are inspired by your goals and guided by your lifestyle, preferences and unique circumstances. As a teacher, I mold my training and coaching to fit the learning style of each individual client. Through Uplifted Health & Wellness, I am able to guide people on their path to living thriving lives

Hi, I am Rachelle Huffman, and I am a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. I am passionate about how improvements in fitness and health lead to thriving lives. I am an avid hiker, backpacker, runner, weightlifter and explorer. Feeling strong and energized has expanded what I have been able to experience and has allowed me to dig into my passion for outdoor recreation.
I have loved to move and be outdoors my whole life, but becoming more intentional about my training and fitness has increased the quality of my adventures tenfold. After truly learning what it feels like to be strong and have optimal energy, I became aware of how often we are held back by our bodies when we don’t nourish and train them!
Outside of the health and fitness realm, I teach a large studio of private students and coach several small music ensembles in Dallas, Texas. I studied French horn performance and music education and have both a Bachelor and Masters degree in music.
Uplifted Health and Wellness started as a vision to combine my passion for fitness and nutrition with my experience and skills teaching and coaching in music.
In my early 20’s I was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes. Although there was nothing I could have done to prevent this illness, I have learned that this disease does not limit my potential to live a healthy and strong life. Actually, it had quite the opposite effect on my health. At first, I struggled to resume hiking, dancing, running, weightlifting and doing the activities that brought me joy. Learning to balance insulin, nutrition, and activity introduced new challenges and frustrations. After trial and error and lots of learning, research and coaching, I was able to resume an active lifestyle. Instead of being a barrier to living a healthy lifestyle diabetes became part of my motivation and purpose. I noticed that exercise increases the effectiveness of my insulin and thoughtful planning in my nutrition made exercise much easier. Since my diagnosis I have run several half marathons and one marathon, hiked mountains, and continue to build strength.
I realized that I had a drive to empower and educate people in their pursuit of healthy and energized living and my background as a private music instructor provided me with an expertise in learning psychology, teaching methods, motivation and consistent process based routines.
